Australian Open 2026 LIVE Scores, Day 6: Medvedev Wins Against Marozsan; Zverev, De Minaur Clinch Victory

Alexander Zverev absolutely demolishes Cameron Norrie and enters the next round. Zverev has been dominant on the break points throughout the game and his job got easier in the last set when Norrie started to make more unforced errors. One-sided fourth set ends 6-1 in Zverev's favour and the final scoreline stands 7-5, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Absolute dominance from Alex de Minaur. A valiant effort from Frances Tiafoe but it is not enough to get past Minaur today. Tiafoe took a break point, saved one later but Minaur took the third and Tiafoe ends up making a crucial error. The match goes in favour of Minaur 6-3, 6-4, 7-5. He enters the next round.

Alexander Zverev and Cameron Norrie have been engaged in a competitive clash and Zverev manages to sneak his nose ahead after the third set. After losing the second set, he came back strong in the third, currently in a lead of 7-5, 4-6. 6-3.

Elina Svitolina progresses to the next round following a comfortable 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 victory against Diana Shnaider. Svitolina's break in September seems to be working in her favour as she is in a winning streak now and is looking good.

So far so good from Alex de Minaur as he looks locked in. He secures crucial break points in the second set, targeting the forehand of Frances Tiafoe and eventually closes the set down in his favour. He is leading 6-3, 6-4 now.

Tiafoe is currently battling Aussie De Minaur whereas Brit Cameron Norrie takes on Alexander Zverev in the third round clash.

First big upset of Australian Open 2026 is here and it's the seventh seed Jasmine Paolini, the two time Grand Slam runner-up, has been knocked out in the third round. 

She loses 6-2, 7-6 (3) to American Iva Jovic.

No. 29 seed Iva Jovic is ready to fight it out with her Italian opponent Paolini, who sees the second set head to a tie-break.

On the other side, teenager Iva Jovic is up 5-2 in the first set against Jasmine Paolini.

Another upset in the Mixed Doubles at the Australian Open 2026 sees top seed Sara Errani/Andrea Vavassori exit the tournament in their 6-4, 6-2 loss to Laura Siegemund/Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the Round of 32 clash.

Men's doubles top seed Lloyd Glasspool/Julian Cash have been knocked out in the Round of 32 by Australian wildcards James McCabe/Li Tu. The AUS pair won  7-6, 6-4. Ashes memory repeated?

Carlos Alcaraz has won his third round men's singles match at the Australian Open 2026. The World No. 1 wins his third-round match 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 in two hours and five minutes.

Carlos Alcaraz continues his domination as the world No. 1 sweeps past Corentin Moutet to take the opening set 6–2 in commanding fashion.

World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz has taken centre stage, getting his Round 3 battle against France’s Corentin Moutet underway. The Spanish star has raced to a 4-1 lead in the first set.

We may see the 'mad' side of Daniil Medvedev as the Russian is famous to lose his temper on-court. The 11th-seed is now 1-4 down in the second set and is already trailing.

11th seed Daniil Medvedev is being made to work hard and the Russian loses the first set to World No. 47 Fabian Marozsan at Margaret Court Arena. He goes down 7-6 (5-7). Big two sets coming up. 

One just cannot keep an eye off this! Sabalenka's match against Potapova has gone to 5-5 in the 1st set and it seems we'll have a tie-break. Similarly, Medvedev, who was struggling against Marozsan, is also tied 5-5 in the first set in the Men's singles third-round match.

On the Margaret Court Arena, Daniil Medvedev is in action against Fabian Marozsan as the Russian tries to get an upper-hand in the match.
